Assam: All set for single-phase Assembly elections on 9th April in 126 constituencies

Assam is set for single-phase Assembly elections on 9th April, with voting across all constituencies under extensive arrangements. The Election Commission has emphasized transparency and voter convenience.

Polling will take place across 126 Assembly constituencies with over 31,000 polling stations, more than 27,000 of which are in rural areas. The ECI has ensured live webcasting at all booths to maintain transparency and is focusing on 5.75 lakh first-time voters to encourage youth participation.

The Election Commission also highlighted its ECINET app, which provides voters with updates on turnout, candidate details, and other election-related information.
