Assembly Elections: Polling parties depart for Puducherry amid tight security

Amid high security, polling parties in Puducherry left for their respective destinations on Wednesday. Carrying polling materials and EVMs, the teams moved in buses escorted by police vehicles to ensure safety and smooth transport.

Talking to Doordarhan News, District Magistrate of Puducherry, A. Kulothungan highlighted the security measures and preparedness for the upcoming elections.

He said that polling officials are here to take care of the EVM machines. The machines will be distributed to the respective polling stations . We are providing high police security and the route chart of this EVM machine vehicle also shared with the contesting candidates and today evening before 4 p.m, all the machine will be distributed to the respective polling stations.
