Chief Secretary of Uttarakhand, Anand Bardhan has stated that, in the era of social media, maintaining the veracity of news is absolutely essential. Speaking today at the oath-taking ceremony for the newly elected office bearers of the Haridwar Press Club, the Chief Secretary remarked that the press serves as the fourth pillar of democracy, paving the way for society and future generations.
He emphasized that the shared objective of the government, the administration, and the press is to improve the lives of ordinary citizens.
Furthermore, he reiterated his resolve to make the Haridwar Kumbh Mela of 2027 a divine and grand event through the collective cooperation of all stakeholders.
