Meghalaya signs LoI with Starlink India to enhance digital connectivity

The Government of Meghalaya has signed a Letter of Intent with Starlink India to enhance digital connectivity across the state. Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma was present at the signing of LoI event on Wednesday.

Sangma said the initiative will play a key role in driving inclusive growth and strengthening the state’s digital infrastructure.

The partnership aims to extend high-speed internet to remote and underserved areas, improving access to education, healthcare, governance, and economic opportunities.

Gwynne Shotwell, President & COO, SpaceX said the collaboration is expected to accelerate Meghalaya’s vision of becoming a major IT hub in the Northeast while boosting entrepreneurship and digital inclusion.
