US President Donald Trump on Friday said that Washington held “very good talks” with Iran following an indirect dialogue in Oman.

Speaking to the media on board Air Force One, President Trump described the discussions as “very good” and added that more negotiations are planned for early next week.

Iran, for its part, said it expects to hold further negotiations with the United States, noting a “positive atmosphere” during the talks in Oman.

Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, who led the Iranian delegation in Muscat, stated that the discussions “focused exclusively” on the Iranian nuclear program.
