Jatiya Party chairperson Ghulam Muhammad Quader has raised serious questions over the credibility of Bangladesh’s ongoing election, saying that no poll held under a partisan Government in the past had been free or fair.
Quader alleged that many of his party’s candidates were unable to visit their constituencies, some were contesting from jail, and, others were facing, what he described, as false cases.
Quader further accused the Government of using State funds, institutions and government employees to campaign for the Yes vote in the referendum.
