Russian forces unleashed the heaviest missile assault of the year on Ukraine early Tuesday.
Targeting its two largest cities and leaving at least four people dead while six people were injured in the northeastern city of Kharkiv.
Kharkiv’s mayor said a long-range Russian drone hit a children’s medical facility, sparking a fire. No casualties were reported there.
In the capital Kyiv, officials described a short but intense barrage of missile strikes. The overnight strikes also hit other regions, including the southern port city of Odessa.
