A U.S. Navy nuclear-powered submarine has entered a South Korean port for crew rest and the loading of supplies.

South Korea’s Navy said the visit of USS Greeneville will be used to promote exchange and cooperation between the U.S. and South Korean naval forces and further strengthen their combined defence posture.

This marks the first visit by a U.S. nuclear-powered attack submarine to the port of Busan in about 10 months, since the USS Alexandria docked there in February.
