The United States is set to host the Gaza Ceasefire Talks to its next stage in Miami. The discussions are intended to build on the existing agreement and move the process forward.
President Donald Trump confirmed that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is expected to visit the United States in connection with the talks.
The second phase of the ceasefire agreement, brokered in October, calls for Israel’s withdrawal from certain positions in Gaza and the establishment of an interim authority to govern the territory in place of Hamas.
An International Stabilisation Force is also planned to help maintain peace.
