South Korea and the United States on Friday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to facilitate $350 billion in strategic investments across various industries in the U.S.
South Korea’s Industry Minister, Kim Jung-kwan, stated that the two countries will finalise the selection of investment plans by January 2029.
Additionally, South Korea’s top presidential policy adviser, Kim Yong-beom, said earlier that the United States has agreed to apply semiconductor tariff terms to South Korea that are no less favourable than those extended to Taiwan.
