U.S. President Donald Trump on Monday visited the Israeli parliament, the Knesset, and held a meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, as Hamas handed over all 20 surviving hostages to Israel.

The release of the hostages marks a critical development in efforts to end two years of devastating conflict in Gaza. The handover was carried out under a ceasefire agreement brokered by President Trump, who arrived in Israel to address the parliament as part of the peace process.

According to the Israeli military, the final group of 13 hostages was received after an earlier batch of seven arrived on Monday.

The news sparked scenes of celebration, with cheering, hugging, and weeping at Hostage Square in Tel Aviv, where thousands had gathered in anticipation.
