Devastating floods in Pakistan’s North-West area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa killed more than 340 people. People in the Buner district have evacuated their homes due to the fear of flash floods.
Local Authorities in the area warned of more rain. The people have climbed to the safer areas to escape from the floods.
Sahil Khan, a 24-year-old university student, told Reuters, “Everybody is scared, children are scared. They can not sleep.”
Another local said, “When they saw the water gushing, they exited their houses and climbed up the hills. Now they are all up on the hills. They empty their houses as the flow of water increased.
