Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on Thursday he plans to hold talks with the leaders of Germany, France, and Italy to discuss efforts toward securing peace.

Zelenskyy said the discussions would cover a potential ceasefire, a future leaders’ summit, and long-term security guarantees. His remarks follow a meeting on Wednesday between Russian President Vladimir Putin and U.S. special envoy Steve Witkoff.

A fire at Russia’s Afipsky oil refinery in the Krasnodar region was extinguished Thursday after being sparked by debris from downed Ukrainian drones, local emergency services said. Russia’s Defence Ministry said air defences shot down nine drones over the region overnight.
