All India Institute of Ayurveda and Vishwa Ayurvd Parishad Organize National Seminar on the Occasion of 11th Ayurveda Day

A national seminar was organized at the AIIA campus to mark the 11th Ayurveda Day, in collaboration with the All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA), New Delhi, and the Vishwa Ayurveda Parishad. Experts deliberated on various topics, including Ayurveda’s rich traditional knowledge, scientific perspective, research and education, and its global expansion.

Prof. Banwari Lal Gaur, former Vice-Chancellor, Rajasthan University, Jaipur, was the chief guest at the event.

The occasion was graced by the presence of Prof. (Vaidya) P.K. Prajapati, Director, AIIA; Prof. (Dr.) Manjusha Rajagopala, Dean (DU); Prof. (Dr.) Mahesh Vyas, Dean (PhD); Prof. (Dr.) R.K. Yadav, Dean (PG); Dr. Yogesh Badwe, MS; and other senior faculty members from AIIA and the Vishwa Ayurved Parishad.

Prof. Y.C. Mishra, National Organizing Secretary of the Vishwa Ayurveda Parishad, attended as the guest of honor.

Distinguished guests who participated in the seminar included Prof. Sunil Joshi, former Vice-Chancellor, Uttarakhand Ayurved University; Dr. Raghuram Bhatta U., former President, Medical Assessment and Rating Board for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM), New Delhi; Prof. (Dr.) K.K. Dwivedi, NCISM; Shri Ramdas Avhad, Founder, Avhad Ayurvedic Multi-specialty Panchakarma Hospital, Nashik; Dr. Girish K.J., Professor and Deputy Principal, Patanjali Institute of Indian Medical Science and Research, Haridwar; Prof. (Dr.) Manu Bhai Gaur, Director-Principal, Chaudhary Brahm Prakash Ayurved Charak Sansthan, New Delhi; Prof. Sujata Rajan, Principal (Ayurveda), Ayurvedic and Unani Tibbia College and Hospital, New Delhi; and Dr. Durga Prasad from Dabur India.

An e-souvenir of the Vishwa Ayurveda Parishad’s national conference was released during the event. The e-souvenir incorporates significant content regarding the rich knowledge tradition of Ayurveda, modern research, a scientific approach, and the national and global expansion of Ayurveda.

A key highlight of the event was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA), New Delhi, and the World Ayurveda Council.

This agreement marks a significant step towards strengthening collaboration between the two institutions in areas such as academic activities, research, knowledge exchange, training, and the promotion of Ayurveda.

Paper and poster presentations were also organized during the event, with enthusiastic participation from Ayurveda students. The students presented their research and academic work on various topics and shared their ideas and research findings with experts.

The national seminar provided a significant platform to establish Ayurveda more effectively in the realms of research, education, and global health by harmonizing traditional Ayurvedic knowledge with a modern scientific perspective.

Speaking on the occasion Prof. (Vd.) P.K. Prajapati said the knowledge on Ayurveda should be passed to the next generation through this kind of seminars. Students should participate, gain knowledge and remain updated what is going in the field of Ayurveda.

Various speakers took insightful sessions during the whole day and at the evening a valedictory session was also organized.
