Foreign Nationals Face Deportation in Bengaluru

The Narcotics Control Bureau, Bengaluru Zonal Unit, developed intelligence regarding foreign national slums in Bengaluru whose residents were suspected to be associated with drug trafficking activities in the city. During the operation, 05 foreign nationals of various countries residing in Krishnarajapura and Kammanahalli areas of Bengaluru were intercepted.

Verification revealed their real identities and no criminal antecedents were found against them. As they were found to be staying illegally in India, they were handed over to the jurisdictional police for taking necessary action under the Foreigners Act and for initiation of deportation proceedings as per law.

In addition to the present operation, a total of 07 foreign nationals, comprising 06 African nationals and 01 Yemeni national, have already been deported in the year 2026 on similar grounds of illegal stay and suspected involvement in drug trafficking activities through coordinated efforts of NCB, Bengaluru Zonal Unit.
