The National Institute of Homoeopathy (NIH), Kolkata today celebrated its Golden Jubilee, marking 50 years of dedicated service in homoeopathic education, research and patient care. As part of the celebrations, a state-of-the-art Modular Operation Theatre and a Centre of Excellence were inaugurated, significantly strengthening the Institute’s clinical, academic and research infrastructure.
The celebrations were graced by Prataprao Jadhav, Minister of State (Independent Charge), Ministry of Ayush and Minister of State, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare and Sukanta Majumdar, Union Minister of State for Education. Jyotirmay Singh Mahato and Samik Bhattacharya, Members of Parliament, and Sumana Sarkar, MLA, Government of West Bengal, along with Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha, Secretary, Ministry of Ayush, senior officials, faculty members, doctors, students and other stakeholders, were also present on this occasion.
Addressing the gathering, Jadhav said that completion of 50 years is a significant milestone in the journey of NIH Kolkata.
He said the Golden Jubilee is not only an occasion to acknowledge the Institute’s achievements but also an opportunity to chart its priorities for the coming decades.
