RailTel Corporation of India Limited organised Akhil Bharatiya Rajbhasha Sammelan with the objective of promoting the effective and progressive use of Hindi as the Official Language, and deliberating upon emerging opportunities and challenges in the field of the Official Language.
In his inaugural address, Zakir Hussain Siddiqui, Principal Executive Director, RailTel Eastern Region, highlighted the importance of promoting Hindi and outlined the efforts being undertaken by the organisation to increase the use of Hindi.
A presentation on RailTel’s Official Language activities and achievements was also made, followed by the release of a special issue of RailTel’s Official Language magazine, ‘Tavishi’.
