PM Modi expresses grief over loss of lives in fire mishap in Kolkata

The Prime Minister, Narendra Modi has expressed deep sorrow over the loss of lives due to a fire mishap in Kolkata.

The Prime Minister conveyed his condolences to those who have lost their loved ones in the tragedy and prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured. He said that the local administration is assisting those who are affected.

The Prime Minister’s Office posted on X;

“Extremely pained to learn about the loss of lives due to a fire mishap in Kolkata. My condolences to those who have lost their loved ones in this tragedy. May the injured recover at the earliest. The local administration is assisting those who are affected: PM @narendramodi”

A total of nine people were killed in the mishap including five Bangladeshis in the Mirza Galib Street of Kolkata,when fire broke out in a five-storey hotel building today.
