Amit Shah unveils Atal Bihari Vajpayee statue in Rajasthan

Union Home, Amit Shah unveiled a 21-foot-tall statue of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee in Nimbahera, Chittorgarh district of Rajasthan, as part of the Atal Gaurav Smriti Samaroh.

The statue, set to become a symbol of pride in the Mewar region, has been crafted from around 4,000 kilograms of ashtadhatu and installed on an eight-foot-high platform.

Crafted by artisans from Jaipur, the statue was unveiled alongside plans to inaugurate and lay foundation stones for 944 development projects worth ₹5,659 crore.

Shah also visited exhibitions showcasing government schemes, including the Panch Gaurav Yojana and the ‘Vocal for Local’ initiative. Special arrangements were made for children and Gen Z at the ceremony to introduce the younger generation to Vajpayee’s life, legacy and ideas.
