CWG: Preeti Pawar, Jasmine Win Boxing Golds in Glasgow

India is on 4th place with 35 medals, Australia leads the table

Indian boxer Preeti Pawar clinched the gold medal in the women’s 54kg category at the Commonwealth Games 2026, capping a dominant campaign in Glasgow.

She secured the title after advancing to the final with a commanding victory over Zambia’s Catherine Mwape in the semifinals. She then defeated Canada’s Scarlett Delgado in the gold medal bout on August 1 to give India a gold in boxing.

The victory adds another major title to an impressive year for the Indian boxer, who had already won the World Cup and Asian Championships crowns earlier in 2026.

In another golden moment, India’s Jasmine defeated Michaela Walsh of Northern Ireland in the women’s 57kg final to clinch the gold medal, adding another title to India’s impressive boxing campaign.

Jasmine displayed superb technique, composure and aggression throughout the tournament, finishing with a dominant performance in the gold medal bout.

India is on fourth place in the tally with 35 medals which include 11 gold, 16 silver and 8 bronze.
