Director General of the Central Industrial Security Force, Praveer Ranjan along with Sudhir Kumar ADG (North) CISF and DIG NZ-2 visited Nunwan base camp, Pahalgam, to review the security arrangements for the ongoing Shri Amarnath Yatra. During the visit DG, CISF reviewed overall security arrangements, deployment plan, access control measures, communication network, surveillance systems, medical support, coordination mechanisms between CAPFs, J&K Police, civil administration, and other stakeholders.
DG, CISF inspected key deployment locations, check posts, communication centre CRPF, QRTs & QATs, CCTV control room, JPCR and logistics arrangements.
Special emphasis was laid on anti-sabotage measures, area domination, crowd management, route security, and preparedness to swift response to any contingency.
He also visited jawan barracks, pilgrim camps, met health workers and woman personnel and motivated them.
DG Ranjan took security review meeting wherein Sudhir Kumar ADG, CISF, Vineet Brijlal, IG, KOS, Gyanendra kumar Verma, IG, CRPF, Akun Sabharwal,IG, ITBP, M K Yadav, DIG, CISF NZ-2, Ashish Bharti, DIG, CRPF, Amod Nagpure, SSP, Anantnag and other senior officers were present .
He appreciated the professionalism and dedication displayed by the personnel and stressed the importance of maintaining a high level of operational readiness, vigilance, and seamless inter-agency coordination throughout the Yatra.
He further directed all ranks to adhere strictly to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), remain alert at all times, and ensure safety, security and convenience of pilgrims.
DG, Ranjan commended personnel’s commitment and conveyed his confidence that the forces would continue to discharge their responsibilities with utmost professionalism, ensuring the smooth, safe, and incident-free conduct of the Shri Amarnath Yatra.
