The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) unit deployed at the Aviation Security Group (ASG), Delhi, has successfully secured the renewal of the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System (QMS) Certification for Security Operations at Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport, New Delhi.

The certification has been awarded by DNV (Det Norske Veritas) , one of the world’s leading independent certification bodies, following a comprehensive audit and assessment of the security management systems implemented by CISF at India’s busiest airport.
The renewed certification is valid for a period of three years, from 14 April 2026 to 13 April 2029 , and covers the provision of comprehensive security services across Terminal 1, Terminal 2, Terminal 3, Cargo and Operational areas of IGI Airport.
While the ASG Delhi unit had previously achieved ISO certification for its security processes, the latest certification follows a rigorous recertification exercise upon completion of the previous certification cycle.
The certificate was formally presented at IGI Airport by Navdeep Singh Heera, Chief Security Officer (CSO), Delhi International Airport Limited, to Babu Ram, DIG, Chief Aerodrome Security Officer, in the presence of senior officers of the Aviation Security Group.
Speaking on the occasion, DIG Babu Ram stated that the renewed ISO certification reflects the Force’s unwavering commitment to maintaining a “zero-error” security environment while ensuring seamless passenger experience.
Congratulating the ASG personnel, Director General CISF Praveer Ranjan said: “The renewal of ISO 9001:2015 certification for security operations at IGI Airport reflects the professionalism, discipline, and continuous pursuit of excellence demonstrated by CISF personnel. In an environment where aviation security challenges are constantly evolving, maintaining internationally recognized quality standards requires sustained effort, innovation, and commitment. This achievement reaffirms our resolve to provide world-class security while ensuring safe, secure, and passenger-friendly travel experiences.”
The achievement assumes significance at a time when IGI Airport continues to witness rapid growth in passenger traffic while maintaining high standards of security and service delivery.
