Yoga’s message of well-being and mindfulness resonated in allover the globe.
In Spain capital Madrid, thousand of participants came together to celebrate the International Day of Yoga.
With this year’s theme, ‘Yoga for Healthy Aging’, the event highlighted the increasing popularity of yoga and its ability to bring people together across cultures.
Embassy of India in Israel also celebrated the 12th International Day of Yoga in Tel Aviv with a vibrant event that brought together hundreds of yoga enthusiasts.
Organised in collaboration with the Tel Aviv-Yafo Municipality and Tel Aviv Port, the event featured 108 Surya Namaskaras accompanied by live sitar music.
Addressing the gathering, India’s Ambassador to Israel, J.P. Singh, highlighted the growing popularity of yoga in Israel and appreciated the efforts of yoga practitioners in promoting the ancient Indian discipline.
The celebration concluded with a Kathak dance performance by ICCR teacher Pratibha Sharma and her students.
Indian Embassy in Kathmandu, Nepal, marked the International Day of Yoga with large-scale celebrations across Nepal.
Over 13,000 participants joined 22 yoga events organised across 11 cities and municipalities, including Kathmandu, Pokhara, Lumbini, and Janakpur.
The celebrations culminated in a grand yoga demonstration at Pokhara’s Rangsala Stadium, where over 8,000 people participated.
Yoga sessions were also held at UNESCO World Heritage Sites, educational institutions, and cultural landmarks, reflecting yoga’s growing popularity in Nepal and reinforcing the strong people-to-people and cultural ties between India and Nepal.
