Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Saturday inaugurated the Jowai-Nartiang-Kdiap-Khanduli road in Meghalaya.
The 59.95-kilometre road project has been funded by the New Development Bank and developed at an estimated cost of ₹59.48 crore.
Following the inauguration, Sitharaman held an interactive session with students of Kiang Nangbah Government College, where she answered questions and shared photographs with them.
The Finance Minister also interacted with young footballers participating in grassroots-level activities at the Wahiajer Centre and encouraged their sporting pursuits.
