Olympic Gold Medalist Neeraj Chopra is set to make his highly anticipated return to competitive athletics at the Doha Diamond League on June 19.

This marks his first appearance in over nine months following a layoff to recover from a back injury sustained at the 2025 World Championships.

Neeraj last competed at the 2025 World Championships in Japan, where he failed to finish on the podium.

He was knocked out early in the final after recording a throw of 84.93m, which was the eighth-best effort in the 12-man field.

Neeraj later revealed that he had been dealing with a back injury sustained just before the day of the final.
