IRCTC website to be revamped: Ashwini Vaishnaw

A revamped IRCTC website will be launched soon, Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw announced recently. The decision was taken immediately during an interactive session with students at MNIT Jaipur, where a student highlighted persistent issues related to CAPTCHA verification and other lags in IRCTC Website.

Taking prompt cognisance of the feedback, the Minister there only, directed concerned officials to undertake a comprehensive revamp of the platform within 30 days to enhance user experience and system performance.

Demonstrating the Centre Government’s commitment to citizen-centric governance, Railway Board officials including Chairman & CEO Railway Board organized a follow-up video conference with the student to gather detailed feedback, concerns and suggestions on the proposed improvements.

The proactive response was widely appreciated by the student, who subsequently posted on X: “Thank you @AshwiniVaishnaw for addressing issues regarding captcha & @IRCTCofficial website. The Railway Board followed up the next day to take inputs regarding prototypes of the proposed new website.”

The initiative will improve the  digital services for railway passengers.
