Mumbai International Film Festival 2026 to Begin from June 15

The 19th edition of the Mumbai International Film Festival will begin in Mumbai on June 15, bringing together filmmakers, storytellers, industry professionals and cinema enthusiasts from across the world.

The week-long event will showcase a wide range of documentaries, short films and animation projects, highlighting diverse voices and cinematic styles from multiple countries.

Speaking at a curtain-raiser press conference, NFDC Managing Director Prakash Magdum said the festival received 1,459 entries from around the globe.

Out of these, 346 films from 46 countries have been selected for screening in both competition and non-competition categories, reflecting the growing international appeal and reach of the festival.

The event is expected to serve as a major platform for creative exchange and collaboration within the global film community.
