A new star arrived in Tennis in form of Russian Diana Shnaider, who beat No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka in French Open yesterday. In a gruelling 2 hours 12 minutes match at the Roland Garros, Shanaider won against the Belarusin 3-6, 7-5, 6-0.
Trailing from 6-3 4-1 down to win a match against Sabalenka was not so easy for the 25th ranked left handed player. She defended well on the base line and attacked intermittently.
Shnaide now to face Maja Chwalinska of Poland in th semi-final.
