Union Minister of Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal held a productive meeting with Minister-President of the German state of Thuringia, Mario Voigt, in New Delhi.
The discussions focused on the growing partnership between India and Germany and on expanding cooperation in high-growth sectors such as semiconductors and advanced manufacturing.
The two leaders also explored opportunities to enhance business-to-business engagement and unlock new avenues for collaboration, further strengthening the partnership.
Thuringia is a landlocked state in central Germany and shares a rapidly growing strategic partnership with India.
Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Hardeep Singh Puri also held an excellent meeting with the visiting dignitary Mario Voigt and an industry delegation led by him.
Known as the “Green Heart” of Germany, Thuringia is emerging as a prominent hub for green hydrogen and hydrogen technologies in Germany.
The two leaders discussed possibilities for collaboration between Indian and German companies as India rapidly advances towards achieving energy self-sufficiency, in which the green energy transition, particularly green hydrogen, will contribute significantly.
