Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh interacted with IAS officer trainees of the 2024 batch and hailed the nearly 41 percent representation of women officers, one of the highest in IAS history.
Addressing the trainees during the Assistant Secretary Programme at CSOI, New Delhi, the Minister said the changing profile of India’s Civil Services reflects a more aspirational, technology-driven and inclusive India.
He said the present generation of officers would play a key role in shaping India’s governance as the country approaches 100 years of Independence in 2047.
The Minister highlighted the importance of technology, digital governance, Artificial Intelligence and continuous learning in modern administration. He urged the young officers to remain citizen-centric, transparent and committed to ethical public service.
A total of 184 IAS officers of the 2024 batch are currently attached with 49 Ministries and Departments under the eight-week Assistant Secretary Programme.
