India has expressed deep concern at the attack targeting the Barakah nuclear facility in the UAE.

In a statement, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said such actions are unacceptable and represent a dangerous escalation. New Delhi has urgently called for restraint and a return to dialogue and diplomacy.

MEA’s reaction came after a drone struck at the Al Dhafra region of the Barakah nuclear facility in Abu Dhabi on 17 May.

The UAE Foreign Ministry in a statement said, “These attacks constitute a dangerious esscalation, an unacceptable act of aggression and a direct threat to country’s security.
