President Droupadi Murmu presented the National Florence Nightingale Awards for the year 2026 to nurses at a function held at Rashtrapati Bhavan today.

The National Florence Nightingale Award was instituted by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, as a mark of recognition for the meritorious services of nurses working in government, private, missionary, and voluntary organisations.

This prestigious national award recognises the outstanding contributions and dedicated service of nursing professionals across India who have made a remarkable difference in the field of healthcare and patient care.
