Two separate blasts in Punjab within hours triggered panic in the state.

In Amritsar, a suspected explosion was reported around 10:50 PM IST near the Khasa cantonment area on Tuesday. Police and Army personnel rushed to the spot immediately after receiving information about the explosion.

Evidence was collected from the site, and a probe has been ordered.

Hours earlier, in Jalandhar, a blast occurred in a scooter parked just outside the BSF Punjab Frontiers headquarters around 8:00 PM IST on Tuesday, injuring the vehicle’s owner. The investigation is going on toknow the exact nature of the explosion.

Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav has expressed apprehension over a potential link between recent blast incidents in the state and Pakistan’s ISI.

He noted that, in light of the anniversary of ‘Operation Sindoor,’ the possibility of such incidents cannot be ruled out.

According to the DGP, the objective behind these blasts is to foment unrest and instability in Punjab. He added that all agencies are conducting a coordinated investigation to apprehend the perpetrators.
