Home Minister Amit Shah inaugurated the Sacred Holy Relics Exposition of Tathagata Buddha and the 2569th Buddha Purnima celebrations in Leh.

Home Minister also offered prayers to the sacred relics of Lord Buddha. The sacred relics of Lord Buddha will be available for the people of Ladakh to pay their respects for next two weeks.

The sacred relics of the Tathagata Buddha, part of the Piprahwa relics, are among the most revered remains of Gautama Buddha.

The relics symbolise the teachings and spiritual presence of Tathagat, the fully enlightened Buddha. Addressing the event, Home Minister said that This sacred day inspires us to move forward on the path of service, self-discipline, and introspection.
