A significant religious and administrative event is scheduled to take place within the Ram Temple complex in Ayodhya on April 29. The Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath will hoist the flag atop the spire of the Lord Shiva temple, situated within the ‘parikota’ (circumambulatory enclosure) of the Ram Temple.
Prior to this, he will perform traditional ‘darshan’ and worship rituals at the Ram Lalla shrine and Hanuman Garhi.
The administration remains on high alert regarding the event. DM Shashank Tripathi and SSP Dr. Gaurav Grover inspected various locations—including the airport, Ram Katha Park, and the helipad—to review the preparations.
Officials have been instructed to complete all arrangements ahead of schedule. Traffic diversions will remain in effect across Ayodhya Dham during this period. Approximately 700 participants—including members of the BJP, elected representatives, and workers from the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS)—are expected to attend the event.
Arrangements for the stage and VIP seating are also being finalized. The program will conclude with the distribution of ‘prasad’ (sacred offerings) and an address by the Chief Minister.
