President of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), Annalena Baerbock, will visit India and China next week following invitations from both governments, her spokesperson La Neice Collins said on Thursday.

In New Delhi, Baerbock is scheduled to hold bilateral meetings with Indian officials and meet the United Nations (UN) country team led by Stefan Priesner.

She will then travel to Beijing for similar engagements, including discussions with the UN team headed by Stephen Jackson.

This will be Baerbock’s first visit to India as President of the General Assembly, after previously visiting the country as Germany’s foreign minister.
