The National Security Advisor (NSA), Ajit Doval, today met his counterpart from the United Kingdom (UK), Jonathan Powell, in New Delhi for the annual India-UK Strategic Dialogue.
Ministry of External Affairs Spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said that during the meeting, the two sides held wide-ranging discussions on advancing the India-UK Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, including strengthening defence and security cooperation.
He added that both sides also exchanged views on regional and global security challenges.
Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh also met Powell, National Security Advisor of the UK.
The two sides exchanged views on regional security developments and reviewed progress under existing India–UK defence cooperation frameworks, reaffirming their commitment to further strengthening strategic ties.
