To enhance trade and economic linkages between Gujarat and Jammu and Kashmir, Ahmedabad Division of Western Railway has successfully dispatched its first-ever cargo rake carrying dairy products to Jammu and Kashmir.

The shipment, loaded for Amul at LCH station, comprised 20 BCN wagons, with 10 wagons sent to Bari Brahmana and 10 to Anantnag. The movement generated freight revenue of Rs. 24.62 lakh.

This initiative strengthens the supply chain of essential goods to remote regions. Earlier, in October 2025, the division had transported 1,350 tonnes of industrial salt from Kharaghoda to Anantnag.
