Indian Railways to run 908 summer special train

Indian Railways, has announced a major plan to operate 18,262 summer special train trips across the country over a three-month period to handle the expected surge in passenger traffic during the vacation.

The Ministry of Railways said these arrangements have been made to ensure smooth, safe and convenient travel for passengers during the summer rush. The initiative aims to reduce overcrowding and improve connectivity on busy routes.

For the period between 15 April and 15 July this year, the Railways has approved 908 summer special trains. These trains will collectively operate thousands of trips to meet increased travel demand across various zones.

Officials stated that the move is part of a broader effort to enhance passenger comfort and manage seasonal traffic efficiently, ensuring better travel experience during one of the busiest times of the year.
