India’s junior shooting team, comprising 71 athletes, has begun its international season at the ISSF Junior World Cup in Cairo, Egypt. It is the largest-ever at the event and will compete across rifle, pistol and shotgun disciplines.
The opening day features key events including the women’s 10m air rifle and men’s 10m air pistol finals, along with 25m pistol precision rounds and skeet qualification for both men and women.
A total of 284 shooters from 25 countries are participating in the competition, while host nation Egypt has fielded a 29-member squad.
The tournament is expected to provide valuable international exposure to India’s junior shooters as they aim to build momentum for the season ahead.
