Indian Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri met German political leaders and senior officials in Berlin on Tuesday, to discuss ways to deepen the India-Germany strategic partnership across key sectors, including trade, defence, technology and innovation.
He called on German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul, who appreciated the steady progress in bilateral ties. Both sides agreed to further broaden and deepen cooperation and reaffirmed the importance of the partnership.
The Foreign Secretary also co-chaired the India-Germany Foreign Office Consultations with German State Secretary Géza Andreas von Geyr in Berlin. The two sides reviewed the entire spectrum of bilateral relations and explored avenues to enhance cooperation.
Discussions focused on intensifying collaboration in trade and investment, defence and security, technology, green and sustainable development, and mobility. They also exchanged views on key regional and global issues.
During the visit, a commemorative logo launched marking 75 years of diplomatic relations between India and Germany, highlighting the enduring strength of ties and shared commitment to further cooperation.
