NITI Aayog released the report “Roadmap for Horticulture Development in the UT of Jammu & Kashmir” in the presence of Suman Bery, Vice Chairman, NITI Aayog; Prof. Ramesh Chand, Member (Agriculture), NITI Aayog; Nidhi Chhibber, CEO, NITI Aayog; Dr. Neelam Patel, Programme Director (Agri Tech), NITI Aayog; Dr. Sanjay Kumar Singh, DDG (Horticulture), ICAR; and Dr. Prabhat Kumar, Horticulture Commissioner, Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare.
The roadmap presents a holistic, value-chain driven strategy, prioritizing productivity enhancement, high-quality planting material, advanced post-harvest infrastructure, and robust market linkages, underpinned by the proposed Operation Golden Greens mission to catalyze integrated horticulture development.
It is a significant step towards boosting farmer incomes and advancing Viksit Bharat 2047.
