Easter is being celebrated across the globe today. It signifies the resurrection of Jesus Christ after his crucifixion and death at Calvary on Good Friday.
The event marks the culmination of the Holy Week of prayers, penitence and recalling the final phase of Jesus Christ’s life.
In Nagaland people observed the day with solemn prayers, church services and processions.
Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio and Deputy Chief Minister and BJP Legislature Party leader Y. Patton have extended greetings to the people of the state on Good Friday.
Chief Minister Rio said that on this solemn day, people are reminded of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, a sacrifice that transformed suffering into redemption and darkness into light.
Rio expressed hope that the message of Good Friday would strengthen faith among citizens, renew hearts, and inspire all to live with grace, courage, and conviction.
