In Nepal, the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has decided to nominate its Vice President, Dol Prasad Aryal, as the candidate for Speaker of the House of Representatives (HoR).
The decision was made during a parliamentary party meeting of the RSP held at Singhadurbar.
The proposal, put forward by RSP President Rabi Lamichhane, was unanimously approved by the party members.
The House of Representative is scheduled to meet on 5th April for the election of the new Speaker. Until then, senior-most member of Parliament, Arjun Narsingh KC, will continue to serve as acting Speaker.
