The Budget Session of the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly resumed today after a gap of five weeks, with proceedings commencing on a note of optimism and public welfare.

Chief Minister Omar Abdullah expressed hope that the session would prove beneficial for the common people and address key issues concerning governance and development.

During the first day of proceedings, the government informed the House about a significant enhancement in healthcare infrastructure.
