In Paonta Sahib, Sirmour district, IAS officer Dwij Goyal has assumed charge as the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM). An IAS officer of the Himachal cadre, Dwij Goyal has previously rendered his services in Uttar Pradesh and Tripura.
Speaking to the media, the newly appointed SDM, Dwij Goyal, stated that his priority would be to accelerate ongoing development works in the region and ensure their timely completion. Additionally, he pledged to ensure the prompt resolution of issues faced by local residents, thereby sparing the general public the need to make repeated rounds of government offices for minor grievances.
He noted that Paonta Sahib is a border region, situated adjacent to Haryana, Uttarakhand, and Uttar Pradesh. Consequently, it is essential to maintain a vigilant watch over anti-social activities in the area. He gave an assurance that, in collaboration with his team, strict action would be taken against such elements.
