Benchmark domestic equity indices, the Sensex and the Nifty, ended today’s session on a bullish note. Both indices opened with a gap-up and traded within a narrow range throughout the day.
The Sensex climbed 485 points or 0.58 per cent to close at 84 thousand 66, while the Nifty added 174 points or 0.68 per cent to settle at 25 thousand 867.
The gain is driven by the optimism by the Indo-US Trade deal and robust buying in public sector banks, conumer durables, and reality stocks.
