Preparations are underway along the Konark route of Odisha to ensure the smooth movement of cyclists on the eastern coast leg of the CISF Vande Mataram Coastal Cyclothon.

The nationwide cycling expedition is traversing India’s entire mainland coastline, carrying a message of security, unity and public participation. Strong participation by youth highlights the cyclothon’s emphasis on fitness and discipline.

Women cyclists make up nearly fifty per cent of the contingent, marking a significant step towards gender inclusivity and women empowerment in national service initiatives.

Covering more than 6,500 kilometres across nine coastal states and two Union Territories, the 25-day cyclothon is among the country’s most extensive coastal awareness campaigns. With the theme Surakshit Tat, Samridh Bharat
