Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday virtually inaugurated the National Improvised Explosive Device Data Management System (NIDMS) at the National Security Guard Garrison in Manesar, Gurugram.

Developed by the National Security Guard’s National Bomb Data Centre, NIDMS is a secure digital platform designed to collect, collate, and share IED-related data across the country.

The system is intended to support post-blast investigations, improve analytical capabilities, and strengthen coordination among state police, Central Armed Police Forces, and other central agencies.

Addressing the event, Amit Shah underscored the system’s importance in enhancing India’s counter-IED preparedness and internal security as threats from terrorism and insurgency continue to evolve.
