Indian Army and Indian Oil open bulk fuel storage facility in Ladakh

Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Hardeep Singh Puri announced a key infrastructure development in Ladakh.

He said that Indian Oil Corp Ltd, in collaboration with ADG PI–Indian Army, has inaugurated a Bulk Petroleum Storage facility to strengthen energy security in high-altitude regions.

Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Puri shared a post on social media platform X and wrote, “India’s leading energy Maharatna, Indian Oil Corp Ltd, along with ADG PI–Indian Army, has inaugurated a Bulk Petroleum Storage facility in Ladakh to strengthen energy security in high-altitude regions.

Engineered for extreme terrain, this installation will power India’s Advanced Winter Stocking (AWS) operations and significantly enhance operational readiness in forward areas.”
